FC Bihor Oradea (2022)
Fotbal Club Bihor Oradea (), commonly known as Bihor Oradea or simply as FC Bihor, is a Romanian professional football club based in Oradea, Bihor County, currently playing in the Liga III. It was founded under the name of "Crisul Oradea" in April 1958 and, since 1963, it has continued the football tradition of the city, following the dissolution of Club Atletic Oradea. FC Bihor played 18 seasons in the first division, the best performance being the 7th-place ranking on three occasions, in the seasons Liga I 1963–1964, 1983–1984, 1988–1989. At the end of the 2003–2004 season lit was relegated from Liga I, going on to play only in Liga II, failing to get promoted back. In January 2016, after continuously facing major financial problems, FC Bihor went bankrupt and disappeared from Romanian football. Stadionul Iuliu Bodola
Iuliu Bodola Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Oradea, Romania. The stadium is the home ground of FC Bihor Oradea. Between 1924 and 1963, then between 2017 and 2022 it was the home ground of CA Oradea and between 1958 and 2016 it was the home ground of FC Bihor Oradea (1958). The stadium holds 11,155 people, restricted from 18,000. Eugen Nagy
Eugen Nagy (Naghi) (also known as Jenő Nagy; 16 April 1944 – 2006) was a Romanian professional footballer of Hungarian ethnicity. He played as a sweeper (libero) for teams such as FC Bihor Oradea or Voința Oradea and after retirement worked as a football coach in the youth center of FC Bihor. Club career Nagy played initially as a midfielder and made his debut in the Divizia A in 1964, for FC Bihor Oradea (named at that time as Crișul Oradea). Subsequently he started to play as a defender, especially as a sweeper (libero) and was for years one of the FC Bihor's captains and an important player. Eugen Nagy played in approx. 270-280 matches (125 in the top-flight) for FC Bihor Oradea and scored 1 goal. Sándor Kulcsár
Sándor Kulcsár (also known as Alexandru Culcear; born 16 July 1965) is a Romanian former professional football player and manager of Hungarian ethnicity. Club career Born in Pericei, Kulcsár started his football career at FC Bihor Oradea for which he played in two Liga II season. In the 1987–88 season he scored 23 goals for the red and blues, being transferred at Victoria București, club owned by the miliția and managed by Dumitru Dragomir. Every player that signed with Victoria was automatically enrolled in the miliția, but Kulcsár was a Hungarian ethnic, so the Romanian Communist Party forced him to change his name into one with a Romanian resonance, being known between 1988 and 1990 as Alexandru Culcear. In 1990 the Ceaușescu's dictatorship fell and Victoria was dissolved, being accused of misleading performances. Sorin Cigan
Sorin Cigan (born 29 May 1964) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a striker and currently a manager. In Romania Cigan played mostly for Bihor Oradea, but he had his best seasons at Brașov, then he played for rest of his career in Hungary, where he was a well known player, playing along his career for Budapest most important clubs Ferencváros and Újpest among other clubs. His son, Cristian Cigan is also a footballer. In June 2009 Cigan was involved in a scandal of match fixing, he was accused of receiving money from ACU Arad to convince Bihor Oradea players to let ACU win. Attila Kun (also known as Attila Kun II; born 9 March 1949) is a Romanian former professional footballer of Hungarian ethnicity and currently manager of FC 09 Überlingen (youth). He is considered one of the best players that ever played for Bihor Oradea, with over 300 matches played and over 100 goals scored.
