Henry Erben
Henry Erben (5 September 1832 – 23 October 1909) was a Rear admiral (United States), rear admiral of the United States Navy, who served in the American Civil War and the Spanish–American War. His father, also named Henry Erben (1800–1884), was a prominent builder of pipe organs. Biography Erben was born in New York City. He entered the Navy as a midshipman on 17 June 1848, and was promoted to passed midshipman on 12 June 1855, to master on 16 September 1855, and to lieutenant on 27 December 1856. At the outbreak of the Civil War he was serving aboard the store ship , which arrived at Pensacola, Florida, on 10 January 1861, the day Florida in the American Civil War, the state declared its secession from the Union, and as the Pensacola Navy Yard, Navy Yard there was captured by state forces. Karel Jaromír Erben (; 7 November 1811 – 21 November 1870) was a Czech folklorist Folklore studies, less often known as folkloristics, and occasionally tradition studies or folk life studies in the United Kingdom, is the branch of anthropology devoted to the study of folklore. Valentin Erben (born 1945 in Vienna) is an Austrian cellist. Life He studied with Walter Reichardt in Munich, Tobias Kühne in Vienna and André Navarra in Paris. In 1970, he became a charter member of the Alban Berg Quartett, with which he played for 38 years. He has taught cello at the Hochschule für Musik Vienna since 1972. He also teaches at the University of Cologne, the Chigiana Academy in Siena, and ProQuartet in Paris. Erben Wennemars
Egbert Rolf "Erben" Wennemars (born 1 November 1975) is a Dutch former speed skater. He specialized in the sprint and middle distances of 500, 1000 and 1500 meters, and set six world records during his career. Speed skating career Wennemars was the first skater who skated the 1500 m faster than 1:50.00. His 1:49.89 in the summer of 1997, however, was not regarded as an official world record. During the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, where Wennemars was qualified for the 500, 1000 and 1500 m, he dislocated his shoulder when Grunde Njøs from Norway fell and collided with Wennemars during the second 500 m race. Wennemars was not able to participate in the other distances after that. Wennemars achieved his first big success in 2003 during the World Single Distance Championships in Berlin, Germany, by winning the gold medal at the 1000 m and 1500 m.
