Elections In Bosnia And Herzegovina
At state level, Bosnia and Herzegovina votes for the rotating Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Parliamentary Assembly. President is elected for a four-year term by constituencies referring to the three main ethnic groups. The candidate with the most votes in a constituency is elected. The Parliamentary Assembly (''Parlamentarna Skupština'') has two chambers. The House of Representatives (''Predstavnički dom/Zastupnički dom'') has 42 members, elected for a four-year term by proportional representation in each main ethnic group. The House of Peoples (''Dom Naroda'') has 15 members, appointed by the parliaments of the two Entities. Šefik Džaferović
Šefik Džaferović (; born 9 September 1957) is a Bosnian politician who is the 7th and current Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2002 to 2018, he was a member of the national House of Representatives. A high ranking Party of Democratic Action member, Džaferović is the party's current vice president and was also its general secretary. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo in 1979. Before entering politics, he worked in judicial institutions. In 1996, Džaferović was appointed member of the Federal House of Peoples. In 2000, he became a member of the national House of Peoples. Jerko Ivanković Lijanović
Jerko Ivanković Lijanović (born 15 November 1969) is a Bosnian businessman and politician. He is a member of the People's Party Work for Prosperity, and has served as Federal Minister of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Forestry from 2011 to 2015. Since September 2020, Lijanović has been serving a 7-year sentence for abuse of office in the Zenica prison. Personal life Ivanković was born in Široki Brijeg in 1969. Boriša Falatar (born 6 June 1975) is a Bosnian international official and politician who ran as a candidate for the Croat seat in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2018 Bosnian general election. Dragan Čović (; born 20 August 1956) is a Bosnian Croat politician who served as the 4th Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2002 to 2005 and from 2014 to 2018. He is the current president of the Croatian Democratic Union and is a member of the national House of Peoples. Born in Mostar, Čović graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at University Džemal Bijedić in his hometown in 1979. Željko Komšić (; born 20 January 1964) is a Bosnian politician and diplomat who is the 6th and current Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is also its current chairman, since 2021. Previously, he was a member of the national House of Representatives from 2014 to 2018. Denis Bećirović (born 28 November 1975) is a Bosnian politician, professor and historian who is the 8th and current Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
