Education In Karachi
Karachi's educational system is divided into five levels: primary (grades one through five); middle (grades six through eight); high (grades nine and ten, leading to the Secondary School Certificate); intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a Higher Secondary School Certificate); and university programs at undergraduate and graduate level. Karachi has both public and private educational institutions from primary to university level. Most educational institutions are gender based from primary to university level. All academic education institutions are the responsibility of the provincial governments. The federal government mostly assists in curriculum development, accreditation and some financing of research. Iqra University, ( ur, ) is a Private University primarily with its main campus located in Defence Area of Karachi, Pakistan. It has additional campuses in other parts of the city, in Islamabad and Quetta. Keamari District ( sd, ڪياماڙي ضلعو, ur, is an administrative district of Karachi Division in Sindh, Pakistan. History Keamari District was created after splitting Karachi West District in 2020. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census, Keamari district had a population of 1,829,837, of which 974,232 were males and 855,383 females. The rural population was 121,954 (6.66%) and urban 1,707,883 (93.34%). The literacy rate is 62.54%: 68.08% for males and 56.10% for females. Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School
The Mama Parsi Girls' Secondary School is in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It was established on 1 April 1918. History Mama Parsi Girls' Secondary School was established on 1 April 1918 by Jamshed Nusserwanjee Mehta who collected three donations to found the school. At first the new Parsi girls' school functioned in a portion of the Bai Virbaijee School, and was only opened for the parsi community but later on Muhammad Ali Jinnah's request the school allowed muslim students as well. The C.A.S. School (initials for Center of Advanced Studies, ur, ) is a private school located in Karachi, Pakistan. It is located in DHA/Clifton, Phase 8 and has two campuses, the Main Campus (3rd grade- 11th grade) and The Kindergarten Section (Playgroup- 2nd grade). The school originally existed in P.E.C.H.S as a single branch on a neighbourhood street a few kilometres parallel to Tariq Road. Narayan Jagannath High School
The Narayan Jagannath Vaidya Government Higher Secondary School at Karachi is the first government school established in Sindh. It was opened in October 1855 with 68 boys. The original buildings were replaced by the present ones in 1876. It was named after the visionary Narayan Jagannath Vaidya after his death. The building was made of yellow sandstone, and is one of the 600 buildings listed as a heritage site. In March 1916, the school had 1477 students, of whom 1350 were Hindus, 32 Brahmins, 10 Jains, 12 Muslims, 66 Parsis and 7 Indian Jews. After Partition in Pakistan 1947, the Sindh Assembly convened in that building to carry out their meetings and tasks. Eventually they shifted and the building was converted back into a school.
