or (or ) is a village in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located along the Tysfjorden, about northeast of the Bodø (town), town of Bodø and about south of the Narvik (town), town of Narvik. Day Wave
Day Wave is an American indie rock project from Oakland, California, formed in 2014. The band, based around musician Jackson Phillips, with accompanying musicians for live performances, released their debut EP ''Headcase'' in 2015. Day Wave has been featured in '' LA Mag'' and ''Billboard.'' They opened for Blonde Redhead during their fall 2016 tour. In November 2016, Day Wave signed onto Harvest Records and released the single "Wasting Time". The song "Hard to Read" appears in 2016 video game '' Watch Dogs 2''. In February 2017, Day Wave announced its debut album, ''The Days We Had'', which was released on May 5, 2017. Phillips relocated to the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles in early 2017. Surf-pop
Surf music (also known as surf rock, surf pop, or surf guitar) is a genre of rock music associated with surf culture, particularly as found in Southern California. It was especially popular from 1958 to 1964 in two major forms. The first is instrumental surf, distinguished by reverb-heavy electric guitars played to evoke the sound of crashing waves, largely pioneered by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. The second is vocal surf, which took elements of the original surf sound and added vocal harmonies, a movement led by the Beach Boys. Dick Dale developed the surf sound from instrumental rock, where he added Middle Eastern and Mexican influences, a spring reverb, and rapid alternate picking characteristics. His regional hit " Let's Go Trippin', in 1961, launched the surf music craze, inspiring many others to take up the approach. Steve Wynn (born February 21, 1960) is an American singer, musician and songwriter. He led the band the Dream Syndicate from 1981 to 1989 in Los Angeles, afterward began a solo career, and then reformed the Dream Syndicate in 2012. Career Growing up in Los Angeles Wynn was born February 21, 1960, at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California. He played in his first band the Light Bulbs at age 9 and followed with another band Sudden Death Overtime a year later while attending Emerson Junior High School. He later attended University High School (Los Angeles) with classmates Darby Crash and Pat Smear who would later go on to form the Germs. He left Los Angeles to attend the University of California, Davis in 1977. A cassette edition was released on Burger Records.
