Dubius (fly)
''Dubius'' is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae, with seven species distributed in southern China and another five in the Neotropical realm. The genus name is from the Latin word , referring to the variance of frons. The genus was first established by Wei Lian-Meng in 2012, including a group of species from the Neotropical realm previously placed in ''Chrysotus'', as well as five newly described species from China. According to some researchers, all of the Neotropical species should be kept in ''Chrysotus'', as their transfer to ''Dubius'' was unwarranted. Species Chinese species: * '' Dubius autumnalus'' Wei, 2012 * ''Dubius curtus'' Wei, 2012 * ''Dubius flavipedus'' Liu, Wang & Yang, 2015 * ''Dubius frontus'' Wei, 2012 * ''Dubius hongyaensis'' Wei, 2012 * ''Dubius succurtus'' Wei, 2012 * ''Dubius yunnanensis'' Liu, Wang & Yang, 2015 Neotropical species (now transferred back to ''Chrysotus''): * ''Dubius angustifrons'' ( Robinson, 1975) * ''Dubius maculatus'' ( ...

Nurteria
''Nurteria'' is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae, found in the Afrotropical realm. Three species are currently known in the genus, but there are also numerous undescribed species of the genus from southern Africa. It was originally described in the subfamily Diaphorinae, though it possesses some features of the Sympycninae. The genus was originally described by Octave Parent in 1934 with the name ''Turneria'', including two species. A third species was described by Parent in 1935. Dyte & Smith (1980) found that the name of the genus was preoccupied by the ant genus ''Turneria'', and so they renamed it to ''Nurteria'', designating one of Parent's originally included species as the type. According to Neal Evenhuis in 2008, the original use of the name ''Turneria'' by Parent (1934) is a ''nomen nudum In taxonomy, a ''nomen nudum'' ('naked name'; plural ''nomina nuda'') is a designation which looks exactly like a scientific name of an organism, and may have originall ...
