Adrenalize
''Adrenalize'' is the fifth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 31 March 1992 through Mercury Records. It is the first album by the band recorded without guitarist Steve Clark who died in 1991 and the only one recorded as a four-member band. Spawning seven singles, four of them – " Let's Get Rocked", "Make Love Like a Man", " Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", and " Stand Up (Kick Love into Motion)" – were major hits. "White Lightning" is dedicated to the memory of Clark, who has writing credits on six of the album's 10 tracks. Background Def Leppard had faced long delays, and the challenge of drummer Rick Allen losing his arm while making their previous album, Hysteria, and while trying to follow up the success, they also faced the prospect of doing so with a different producer, as Robert John "Mutt" Lange was already working with Bryan Adams. At the same time guitarist Steve Clark had been suffering from alcohol addiction since 1989, spending ...

Diamond Star Halos
''Diamond Star Halos'' is the twelfth studio album by the English rock band Def Leppard. It was released on 27 May 2022 through Bludgeon Riffola and Mercury Records, and is the band's first studio album in nearly seven years since 2015's ''Def Leppard''. The album takes its name from the 1971 T. Rex single " Get It On" and includes imagery from Anton Corbijn, Maryam Malakpour, and Oliver and Joshua Munden. Critical reception ''Ultimate Classic Rock''s Michael Gallucci called the album "most obvious callback to glam's glory days as well as their own past triumphs", claiming that the band have learned to not "mess with what works" unlike past projects ''Slang'' and '' X''. Having noted influences of glam rock stars David Bowie, Mott the Hoople and T. Rex, Gallucci also wrote that while, "like most tribute albums, the take-and-give results on ''Diamond Star Halos'' don't always match what was heard the first time around", "the band hasn't sounded this invigorated on record sinc ...

X (Def Leppard Album)
''X'' (pronounced ''ten'') is the eighth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 30 July 2002 by Island Records in the US and sister label Mercury worldwide. Much like 1996's ''Slang'', it featured another departure from their signature sound by moving into the pop genre. The album charted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 and No. 14 on the UK Albums Chart. Most of the album was produced by Pete Woodroffe and the band, with remaining tracks produced by either Marti Frederiksen or Per Aldeheim and Andreas Carlsson. Background This is the first Def Leppard album in which drummer Rick Allen actively took part in song-writing. On all of the band's prior albums, he is only credited with helping co-write three tracks. On this album alone, he co-wrote eleven. The album is also the first from the band to include original songs not to be written by any of the members: "Unbelievable" and " Long, Long Way to Go", the latter of which was released as a single. The album feat ...

Euphoria (Def Leppard Album)
''Euphoria'' is the seventh studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 8 June 1999 in the United States and on 14 June 1999 in the United Kingdom by Mercury Records. The album aimed to return to their signature sound made famous by the band in the 1980s. It was produced by the band with Pete Woodroffe. The album charted at No. 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 11 on the UK Albums Chart. It includes the song " Promises", which hit the number one spot on ''Billboards Mainstream Rock chart. Overview Following ''Slang'', the band was initially unsure of which direction to take upon reconvening in April 1998. "We just let ourselves go in any way we wanted," recalled Joe Elliott. With ''Slang'' we did: we said we're not gonna do the typical Def Leppard things. But with ''Euphoria'' we didn't rule them out… because it had been eight icyears since '' Adrenalize''. That's a long time to have abandoned your main style of music. So we embraced it." Former producer R ...

Slang (album)
''Slang'' is the sixth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 14 May 1996. The album marked a musical departure from their signature sound; it was produced by the band with Pete Woodroffe and was their first album since 1980 without involvement by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. ''Slang'' is the first album with new material to feature new guitarist Vivian Campbell (Campbell had previously played on the B-side collection ''Retro Active'' in 1993 and on the new song on ''Vault'' a year earlier). It charted at #14 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and #5 on the UK Albums Chart. It is also the only Def Leppard album that does not feature their recognisable font logo on the album cover, though all its singles still bore the classic logo. Overview Between the releases of ''Retro Active'' and ''Slang'', Def Leppard endured hardships including guitarist Phil Collen's divorce from actress Jacqueline Collen, bassist Rick Savage's battle with Bell's palsy and the death of his fa ...

Frank Noon
Frank Noon (born 25 December 1959 in London) is a British drummer who played with the bands Def Leppard and Roadhouse. Career Frank Noon was a member of the trio The Next Band before, during, and after the time he was in Def Leppard, and played on The Next Band's ''Four by Three E.P.'' Noon played on Def Leppard's '' The Def Leppard E.P.'' in 1979. Noon was never an official member of Def Leppard. Although he was asked to join permanently, he declined the offer to stay with The Next Band. He was preceded in Def Leppard by original drummer Tony Kenning and succeeded by current drummer Rick Allen. About thirteen years later, he played in the band Roadhouse with Pete Willis, who was a member of Def Leppard when Noon performed with them. He played on Roadhouse's demo, but was replaced by drummer Trevor Brewis before the recording of Roadhouse's album. Noon also played drums for various other bands including Lionheart, Wild Fire, Wild Horses (not to be confused with an America ...

Retro Active
''Retro Active'' is a compilation album by the English rock band Def Leppard, released in 1993. The album features touched-up versions of B-sides and previously unreleased recordings from the band's recording sessions from 1984 to 1993. The album charted at number 9 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. Overview After releasing only five albums over the course of a twelve-year period, Def Leppard used ''Retro Active'' to break that habit, provide a treat for diehard fans, and close the door on the " Steve Clark" era of the band. Many of the tracks had previously been released as single B-sides. According to singer Joe Elliott, the concept behind the album was envisioned after the success of the "Two Steps Behind" single. The song had originally been demoed solely by Elliott as an electric version in 1989, and was subsequently recorded by the band as an acoustic ballad at the suggestion of guitarist Phil Collen. When the producers of the film ''Last Action ...
