Dadu District
Dadu District ( sd, ضلعو دادو), ( ur, ) is a district of Sindh Province, Pakistan. With headquarters the city of Dadu, the district was created in 1931 by merging Kotri and Mahal Kohistan (later Jamshoro) tehsils from Karachi District and Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu, Johi and Sehwan tehsils from Larkana District. In 2004, several talukas in the south were split off to create the new Jamshoro District. Its boundary touches with four districts of Sindh i.e. Jamshoro, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and Kamber Shahdadkot. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census, Dadu district had a population of 1,550,390, of which 795,700 were males and 754,480 were females. The rural population was 1,166,984 (75.27%) and urban 383,406 (24.72%). The literacy rate is 47.26%: 57.92% for males and 36.02% for females. The majority religion is Islam, with 99.37% of the population. Hinduism (including those from Scheduled Castes) is practiced by 0.58% of the population. Sind ... There are thirty districts in the Pakistan province of Sindh. These districts together contain 119 tehsils, 1100 Union Councils and 66,923 human settlements, as per the 1998 census. Jamshoro District
Jamshoro District ( sd, ضلعو ڄام شورو, ur, ), is a district of Sindh province, Pakistan. Jamshoro city is the capital while Kotri is the largest city of the Jamshoro District. The district borders Dadu district to the north. To the east, the Indus separates it from Nawab Shah, Matyari and Hyderabad districts. Thatta district lies to the south, and Karachi district to the south west. To the west, the Kheerthar Range separates it from the Sindh and Lasbela district of Baluchistan. Jamia Mosque (Khudabad)
The Jamia Mosque Khudabad ( ur, ) known as Badshahi Mosque, is situated in Khudabad, Dadu District of Sindh the province of Pakistan. The mosque was built during the reign of Yar Muhammad Kalhoro between 1700 and 1718. It is situated in Khudabad Village almost from the south of Dadu District. Lake Manchar
Lake Manchar ( sd, منڇر ڍنڍ, ), also spelled Manchhar, is the largest natural freshwater lake in Pakistan, and is one of South Asia's largest. It is located west of the Indus River, in Jamshoro District and Dadu District, Sindh - 18 km away from Sehwan Sharif. Lake Manchar collects water from numerous small streams in the Kirthar Mountains, and then empties into the Indus River. The lake's surface area fluctuates with the seasons, from as little as 36 km², to as much as 500 km² during monsoon rains. Mehar Tehsil
Mehar Tehsil ( sd, ميهڙ , ur, میہڑ) is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Dadu District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is famous for the production of Henna or Mehndi. The Tehsil has a population o460,000(2017 census). Major markets in the city include Shahi Bazaar, Resham Galli , Sonaarki Bazaar and Ghanta Ghar market. Khairpur Nathan Shah Tehsil
Khairpur( Sindhi and ur, ) is a city and the capital of the Khairpur District, in Pakistan's Sindh province. History The Talpur dynasty was established in 1783 by Mir Fateh Ali Khan, who declared himself the first ''Rais'', or ruler of Sindh, after defeating the Kalhoras at the Battle of Halani. The death of Mir Sohrab Khan Talpur, founder of the Khairpur branch abdicated power to his eldest son Mir Rustam 'Ali Khan, in 1811. Rustam's youngest half brother, 'Ali Murad, strengthened his hand by signing a treaty with the British in 1832, in which he secured recognition as the independent ruler of Khairpur in exchange for surrendering control of foreign relations to the British in 1838, as well as use of Sindh's roads and the Indus River. Hinduism is the second largest religion in Sindh, comprising 8.73% of its population. Sindh has the largest population and the highest percentage of Hindus in Pakistan.
