Czech Republic National Basketball Team
The Czech Republic men's national basketball team ( cs, Česká basketbalová reprezentace) represents the Czech Republic in international basketball. The team is controlled by the Czech Basketball Federation (ČBF). The Czech Republic is the successor to the Czechoslovakia national team after the Czech Republic split from Czechoslovakia, due to the dissolution of the unified state in 1993. The Czech Republic national team made their debut in international competition in a qualifier for the EuroBasket in 1993. The team has qualified for the tournament six times overall. The Czech Republic has also qualified for the FIBA World Cup, where the team reached the quarter-finals in their first appearance in 2019. Ronen Ginzburg
Ronen "Neno" Ginzburg ( he, רונן "ננו" גינזבורג; born 19 September 1963) is an Israeli-Czech basketball coach for Ukrainian Basketball club Prometey. The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings. Greece appeared eight times at the FIBA World Cup, their best performance coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final. They are managed by the Spanish Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Spain. Spain is the current World and European champion. Jan Veselý (born 24 April 1990) is a Czech professional basketball player for FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. EuroBasket 2013 was the 38th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It took place from 4 September until 22 September 2013 in Slovenia. The number of participating teams was 24. France defeated Lithuania in the final to win their first title. Tony Parker was named the tournament's MVP. The 2007 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2007, was the 35th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 2008 Summer Olympics, giving a berth to the champion and runner-up teams (or to the third-placed team in case Spain should reach the final). Luboš Bartoň (born 7 April 1980) is a Czech professional basketball coach. He is a 2.02 m tall small forward who last played for FC Barcelona Bàsquet B, FC Barcelona B of Spain's second division.
