Cyprus Basketball Cup
The Cypriot Basketball Cup is an annual professional basketball national cup competition, organized by the Cyprus Basketball Federation since 1969. Format Starting in 2007, the Cypriot Cup competition's format changed to where only teams from the Cypriot A Division compete at the cup. The cup employs a knock-out stage and a final four format. The Cup's winner automatically qualifies to compete in the next season of the FIBA Europe Cup competition. Pezoporikos
Pezoporikos Club Larnaca ( el, Πεζοπορικός Όμιλος Λάρνακας, ''Pezoporikos Omilos Larnakas'') was a Cypriot sports club based in Larnaca with football, basketball and volleyball teams. Founded in 1927, the football club joined the Cypriot Championship in 1938, winning it twice as well as one Cypriot Cup. The colours of the club were green and white. In 1994 the club merged with EPA Larnaca and they formed AEK Larnaca (). The club also had a basketball and volleyball department and were basketball champions four times and five times cup winners. Since the 1990–91 season, the club dominated the Cyprus Basketball by winning 3 championships and one cup in four years. During the 1993–94 season the team eliminated Hapoel Eilat with 86–80 and 65–65 for the Korać Cup and qualified in the second round of Korać Cup where they were eliminated by Panionios. Derek Ogbeide
Derek Ik Ogbeide (born March 28, 1997) is a Nigerian-Canadian professional basketball player for Pistoia Basket 2000 of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). High School career Ogbeide played in grade 9 and 10 for Monsignor Percy Johnson Catholic Secondary School in Toronto, Canada. Ogbeide played for Pebblebrook High School, at Mableton, Georgiain grade 11 and 12. College career Ogbeide played for Georgia from 2015 until 2019. Professional career Ogbeide started his professional with AEK Larnaca of the Cypriot League. After a successful first season with AEK, he renewed his contract with the team for one more season. Primož Brezec (born October 2, 1979) is a Slovenian retired professional basketball player. He is a 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) tall center. Brezec has played eight seasons in the NBA. Professional career Europe/Asia Brezec grew up in Sežana, where he also made his professional debut with the local team Kraski Zidar. Ivan Maraš ( Cyrillic: Иван Мараш; born April 20, 1986) is a Montenegrin professional basketball player for Okapi Aalst of the Belgian BNXT League. Professional career Maraš started playing basketball for Budućnost Podgorica of the Montenegrin League from 2003, until 2010.
