The Men's Omnium competition of the cycling events at the 2011 Pan American Games was held between October 18 and 19 at the Pan American Velodrome in Guadalajara Guadalajara ( , ) is a metropolis in western Mexico and the capital of the list of states of Mexico, state of Jalisco. According to the 2020 census, the city has a population of 1,385,629 people, making it the 7th largest city by population in Me ....Guadalajara 2011 sessions
The event was a new addition to the track cycling program at the Pan American Games.

Description

The velodrome is the first-ever Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI-regulated, class 1 indoor velodrome in Canada, and only the second in North America along with the VELO Sports Center in Los Angeles. It features a 250-metre timber track with two 42-degree angle banks. During the games the velodrome had 2,500 seats. The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
