Cycling At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's Team Sprint
The men's team sprint at the 2008 Summer Olympics took place on August 15 at the Laoshan Velodrome. After delivering three superb rides in the process, British trio Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny, and Jamie Staff defeated France by a 0.523-second margin to dominate the team sprint final with a gold-medal time in 43.128. The French threesome of Grégory Baugé, Kévin Sireau, and Arnaud Tournant took home the silver in 43.651, while Germany's René Enders, Maximilian Levy, and Stefan Nimke edged out the Aussies by eight hundredths of a second for the bronze in 44.014. Laoshan Velodrome
The Laoshan Velodrome () is a velodrome that is located in Laoshan, Shijingshan District, Beijing, China. It was built for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The venue was tested during the UCI Track World Cup in December 2007. The velodrome hosted Cycling at the 2008 Summer Olympics, track cycling disciplines during the Olympics. It has a capacity of 6,000 spectators, a 250-metre oval shaped track, and a total land surface of 32,920 square metres. The Laoshan Velodrome will be used for international and national cycling competitions and training after the Olympic Games. The seating capacity may be reduced to 3,500. Josiah Ng Onn Lam (, born 2 February 1980) is a retired Malaysian professional track cyclist. Josiah was the first Malaysian to make it into the cycling Olympic finals becoming a three-time Olympian, representing Malaysia at Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Dato' Muhammad Azizulhasni bin Awang (born 5 January 1988) is a Malaysian professional track cyclist.
