Curtis Edward Ford Jr. (March 24, 1922 – October 3, 2017) was an American politician. Ford served in the United States Army Air Forces and the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Ford lived in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served as a Democratic member in the Texas House of Representatives from 1953 to 1957. Ford was an unsuccessful candidate for the Texas State Senate in 1956, finishing third in a three candidate race. Shortly after the end of his term in the Texas House, Ford ran for the United States Senate in a special election to replace Price Daniel Marion Price Daniel Sr. (October 10, 1910August 25, 1988), was an American jurist and politician who served as a Democratic U.S. Senator and the 38th governor of Texas. Bronson is an unincorporated area, unincorporated community in west central Sabine County, Texas, Sabine County, Texas, United States. The Texas Senate ( es, Senado de Texas) is the upper house of the Texas State Legislature. There are 31 members of the Senate, representing single-member districts across the U.S. state of Texas, with populations of approximately 806,000 per constituency, based on the 2010 U.S. Census. There are no term limits, and each term is four years long. Elections are held in even-numbered years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
