Curse Of The Mummy (musical)
''Curse of the Mummy'' is a single-player roleplaying gamebook, written by Jonathan Green, illustrated by Martin McKenna and originally published in 1995 by Puffin Books. It was later republished by Wizard Books in 2007. It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's ''Fighting Fantasy'' series. It is the 59th (and last) in the original Puffin series () and 27th in the modern Wizard series (). The adventure was slightly edited for the Wizard edition. Story The player must defeat Akharis, an evil ruler from a former age, before he is resurrected. If the player fails, he will enslave all of Allansia. The player must search for Akharis' tomb in the Desert of Skulls in a race against time. Jonathan Green is a freelance writer. He has written for various science fiction and fantasy franchises, including ''Doctor Who'', ''Fighting Fantasy'', ''Sonic the Hedgehog'', and Games Workshop's ''Warhammer'' and ''Warhammer 40,000'' game universes. Biography Before becoming a full-time writer, Green was a teacher and deputy headmaster of a school in London. Green wrote seven ''Fighting Fantasy'' gamebooks, and a history of the franchise. Green has written four novels for the Games Workshop Black Library label: ''Necromancer'', ''Magestorm'', ''The Dead and the Damned'', and ''Iron Hands''. He co-authored several ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' gamebooks for Puffin Books with Marc Gascoigne. Martin McKenna (artist)
Martin McKenna (21 February 1969 – September 2020) was a British artist and illustrator, known for his work in role-playing games, novels, and comics, mainly of horror and fantasy genres. He illustrated many Games Workshop products in the 1980s, and his drawings were a key part of the visual identity of the first edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. When Games Workshop started its Warhammer fiction line in 1990, he provided internal art. He contributed to Fighting Fantasy books, Everway, Magic: The Gathering, video games (including Eidos Interactive, and film and television. He has illustrated books for numerous international publishers including Scholastic, Penguin Books, Oxford University Press, HarperCollins, Time-Warner, and Hodder & Stoughton, illustrating popular authors such as Anne McCaffrey, Raymond E. Steve Jackson (born 20 May 1951) is a British game designer, writer, game reviewer and co-founder of UK game publisher Games Workshop. Ian Livingstone
Sir Ian Livingstone (born 29 December 1949) is an English fantasy author and entrepreneur. Along with Steve Jackson, he is the co-founder of a series of role-playing gamebooks, ''Fighting Fantasy'', and the author of many books within that series. He is also one of the co-founders of prominent games company Games Workshop. Early life Livingstone attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, where, according to him, he only earned one A-level, in Geography. Combat ( French for ''fight'') is a purposeful violent conflict meant to physically harm or kill the opposition. Combat may be armed (using weapons) or unarmed ( not using weapons).
