Curling At The 2020 Winter Youth Olympics – Mixed Doubles
Mixed doubles curling at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics was held from 18 to 22 January at the Palladium de Champéry in Champéry, Switzerland. Teams The teams will consist of athletes from the mixed team tournament, one boy and one girl from different NOCs. The teams will be selected by the organizing committee based on the final ranking from the mixed team competition in a way that balances out the teams. The players in each pair will then be allowed time to train together. Knockout Draw Bracket The event was held in a modified knockout, with all winners of the Round of 6, including the loser with the best Draw Shot Challenge (DSC), qualifying for the finals. Palladium De Champéry
Palladium is a chemical element with the Symbol (chemistry), symbol Pd and atomic number 46. It is a rare and lustrous silvery-white metal discovered in 1803 by the English chemist William Hyde Wollaston. He named it after the 2 Pallas, asteroid Pallas, which was itself named after the epithet of the Greek goddess Athena, acquired by her when she slew Pallas (daughter of Triton), Pallas. Marta Lo Deserto (born March 30, 2002) is an Italian curler from Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. She currently plays third on the Italian National Women's Curling Team skipped by Stefania Constantini. Career Lo Deserto made her international debut at the 2019 World Junior-B Curling Championships as alternate for the Stefania Constantini rink.
