Cure
A cure is a substance or procedure that ends a medical condition, such as a medication, a surgical operation, a change in lifestyle or even a philosophical mindset that helps end a person's sufferings; or the state of being healed, or cured. The medical condition could be a disease, mental illness, genetic disorder, or simply a condition a person considers socially undesirable, such as baldness or lack of breast tissue. An incurable disease may or may not be a terminal illness; conversely, a curable illness can still result in the patient's death. The proportion of people with a disease that are cured by a given treatment, called the cure fraction or cure rate, is determined by comparing disease-free survival of treated people against a matched control group that never had the disease. The Cure (Manning Album)
Guy Manning, born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England is an English multi-instrumentalist and singer, best known for his own album releases (Manning) and for his membership of progressive rock bands Parallel or 90 Degrees, The Tangent, The United Progressive Fraternity (UPF) and Damanek. Biography Manning was the founding member of two Leeds based bands in the 1980s, Let's Eat! and Bailey's Return. He was also recruited in 1987 to be the keyboards player (joining Julie King) in art-rock band Through The Looking Glass. This band split up a year later and a more pop based offshoot, KingGlass, emerged which continued for a further year. Manning and local keyboardist/vocalist Andy Tillison had an early unsigned band called Gold Frankincense & Disk Drive. This band's final line-up included David Albone on drums and a guest spot from Van der Graaf Generator organ player Hugh Banton. "The Cure" is the sixth episode of the first season of the American science fiction drama television series ''Fringe''. It followed two women suffering from a fictional disease, who are then given radiation drugs and exploited by a pharmaceutical company to cause nearby individuals' brains to boil. The episode was written by Felicia D. Henderson and Brad Caleb Kane, and directed by Bill Eagles. Executive producer Jeff Pinkner meant for the first six episodes of the first season to serve as a "prologue", while the following episodes would get "into the next chapter" of the series. "The Cure" first aired in the United States on October 21, 2008 on the Fox network to an estimated 8.91 million viewers. ''Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes'' is an animated television series based on the Marvel Comics' ''Fantastic Four'' comic book series. This is the team's fourth foray into animation.
