Thomas Marsham (1748–26 November 1819) was an English entomologist, specializing on beetles. Biography He married a Miss Symes of Ufford, Northants, and had two daughters. He was Secretary to the West India Dock Company for many years and during the Napoleonic Wars became an officer in the volunteer corps of the Home Guard in 1802. The beetle subfamily Curculioninae is part of the weevil family Curculionidae. It contains over 23,500 described species in 2,200 genera, and is therefore the largest weevil subfamily.
