Cryptek is a company that develops and sells information security products and services to governments and corporations. Cryptek is headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, United States. History Cryptek was founded in 1986 as Cryptek Secure Communications, Inc. In cryptography, encryption is the process of encoding information. This process converts the original representation of the information, known as plaintext, into an alternative form known as ciphertext. The Common Access Card, also commonly referred to as the CAC is a smart card about the size of a credit card.
