Cruzeiro Esporte Clube
Cruzeiro Esporte Clube (), known simply as Cruzeiro, is a Brazilian sports club based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Although they compete in a number of different sports, Cruzeiro is mostly known for its association football team. It plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top tier of the Brazilian football league system, as well as in the Campeonato Mineiro, the States of Brazil, state of Minas Gerais's premier State football leagues in Brazil, state league. The club was founded on 2 January 1921, by sportsmen from the Italian colony of Belo Horizonte as ''Palestra Itália''. As a result of the Second World War, the Federal government of Brazil, Brazilian federal government banned the use of any symbols referring to the Axis powers in 1942. The club board members rebaptized the club with the name of a leading national symbol: the Crux, Cruzeiro do Sul's constellation. Cristiano Marques Gomez
Cristiano Marques Gomes (born 3 June 1977), or simply Cris, is a Brazilian football manager and a former player who is the manager of Championnat National club Le Mans FC. Previously he was manager of GOAL FC, and spent three years as manager of the under-19 squad of Lyon. A former centre-back, Cris is also nicknamed "the policeman" by way of reference to his authoritarian nature on the pitch and his four months of experience in a police department in Guarulhos. He won four consecutive Ligue 1 titles with French club Lyon between 2005 and 2008, as well as the Brazilian Championship in 1998 with Corinthians, and in 2003 with Cruzeiro, and he also won the Copa do Brasil in 1995 with Corinthians, and in 2000 with Cruzeiro. Santos Futebol Clube (), commonly known simply as Santos or Santos FC and nicknamed the ''Peixe'' (; "fish"), is a Brazilian sports club based in Vila Belmiro, a '' bairro'' in the city of Santos. Eduardo Luís Abonízio de Souza (born 18 May 1981), better known as Edu Dracena, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Guarani Born in Dracena, São Paulo, Dracena (nickname earned from his birthplace) graduated with Guarani's youth setup. He made his professional debut on 28 February 1999, starting in a 1–2 Campeonato Paulista away loss against Matonense, aged just 17. Dracena made his Série A debut on 8 August 1999, starting in a 1–0 away win over Gama. Eduardo Pereira Rodrigues (born 7 January 1992), commonly known as Dudu, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and winger for Palmeiras. Career Early career Dudu began his career in the youth side for Cruzeiro and earned on 14 June 2009 his first cap in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A against Palmeiras. Nélson de Jesus Silva (born 7 October 1973), better known simply as Dida (), is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. After starting his senior club career in Brazil in the early 1990s with Vitória, Dida became a penalty kick-saving specialist with Cruzeiro and Corinthians. He is perhaps best remembered for his ten-year stint with AC Milan from 2000 to 2010, where he established himself as one of the world's best goalkeepers and won multiple trophies and individual awards with the club.
