CrossIron Mills
CrossIron Mills is a fully enclosed shopping centre development just outside the northern city limits of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and immediately east of the hamlet of Balzac in Rocky View County. It was developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, a major Canadian real estate company. Completed in August 2009, the mall is the largest single-level shopping centre in Alberta, containing approximately of retail and entertainment space. Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is close by to the east. The first tenant to open in the mall was the first Alberta franchise of Bass Pro Shops, which opened its doors in the spring of 2009, while the rest of the mall was under construction. The majority of the mall opened on August 19, 2009. A final phase initially referred to as The Entertainment Neighbourhood opened in Summer 2010. Rocky View County is a municipal district in southern Alberta, Canada that is named for its views of the nearby Rocky Mountains to the west. It surrounds most of Calgary, forming the city's northern boundary and most of the city's western and eastern boundaries. Outlet Collection Winnipeg is a fully- enclosed shopping centre development located on the intersection of Sterling Lyon Parkway and Kenaston Boulevard, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, a major Canadian real-estate company. History After the opening of the first IKEA in Winnipeg on the intersection of Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway at Seasons of Tuxedo in December 2012, retail quickly began to expand starting with a Cabela's, later joined by restaurants, other small retailers, and residential properties. Ivanhoe Cambridge decided to expand the retail development in the new expanding retail along Kenaston Boulevard just across from IKEA, breaking ground in September 2015 costing $200 Million to build. West Edmonton Mall (WEM) is a shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, that is owned, managed, and operated by Triple Five Group. It is the second most visited mall in Canada, after the Toronto Eaton Centre in Toronto, followed by Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, and the 14th largest in the world (along with The Dubai Mall) by gross leasable area. The Mills Corporation was a publicly traded real estate investment trust headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States, acquired on April 3, 2007 by an investment group composed of Simon Property Group and Farallon Capital Management. The company developed, owned, and operated major super-regional shopping malls. Deerfoot Trail
Deerfoot Trail is a freeway segment of Highway 2 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It stretches the entire length of the city from south to north and links suburbs to downtown via Memorial Drive and 17 Avenue SE. The freeway begins south of Calgary where it splits from Macleod Trail, crosses the Bow River into city limits, and reaches the Stoney Trail ring road.
