Cross-country Skiing At The 2006 Winter Olympics – Men's 30 Kilometre Pursuit
The Men's 30 kilometre pursuit cross-country skiing competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, was held on 12 February at Pragelato. Summary The pursuit in this format had been skied three times at the Nordic skiing World Championships, and Frenchman Vincent Vittoz was the reigning World Champion. A pursuit event similar to this was skied at the 2002 Winter Olympics, where the gold was shared between Thomas Alsgaard (retired by 2006) and Frode Estil, but the 2002 event 2002 event was a 20 kilometre pursuit, not 30. The event opened dramatically as Estil fell at the start, causing a mass collision. Then the pack kept together almost until the end, with skiers continually trailing off as they could not keep up with the pace. Eventually, five men came into the finishing straight together, after Anders Södergren of Sweden had tried to pull away on the final lap. Park Byeong-ju (; born 24 March 1985) is a South Korean retired Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. Club career Park drafted by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in 2008, after one of his less successful spells at Seongnam he joined Korea National League, National League side Suwon City FC in 2009. During two seasons, he appeared in 42 matches and scored 2 goals. On 3 November 2011, Park was transferred to the newly founded Gwangju FC. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths. Anders Södergren
Hans Anders Södergren (born 17 May 1977 in Söderhamn, Hälsingland) is a Swedish cross-country skier who has competed since 1999. He earned a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and also finished 5th in the 15 km + 15 km double pursuit event at those same Olympics. In the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver he won a gold medal with the Swedish team in the 4 × 10 km relay.
