Sven Utterström
Sven "Uttern" Ludvig Utterström (16 May 1901 – 7 May 1979) was a Swedish skier who competed in cross-country skiing. He was born in Boden, Sweden, raced for Bodens BK, and won several medals at the Winter Olympics, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, and the Holmenkollen ski festival. Utterström won the 50 km cross-country event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1929 and 1930. He was only the third non-Norwegian to win any event there (Finland's Anton Collin and Martti Lappalainen were the first two, winning the 50 km in 1922 and 1928, respectively.). At the 1928 Winter Olympics he finished ninth in the 18 km competition. Four years later at the 1932 Winter Olympics, Utterström won the 18 km. In the 50 km event he finished sixth. In 1930, he won the 50 km at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and was on the 4 × 10 km relay that won the inaugural event at the 1933 Nordic skiing World Championships. Vladimír Novák (skier)
Vladimír Novák (February 2, 1904 – April 28, 1986) was a Czechoslovakian Nordic skier who competed in the 1920s and in the 1930s. He won a silver medal in the 4 x 10 km at the 1933 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Innsbruck. At the 1928 Winter Olympics he finished twelfth in the 18 kilometre cross-country skiing event. Four years later Novak finished 11th in the 50 kilometre event and 14th in the shorter cross-country skiing event at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York, United States. Stanisław Marusarz
Stanisław Marusarz (); 18 June 1913 – 29 October 1993) was a Polish Nordic skiing competitor in the 1930s. Life Stanisław Marusarz won a silver medal in ski jumping at the 1938 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti — the first Pole ever to earn a medal in the championships. He also finished sixth in the individual nordic combined event at the 1933 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Innsbruck. Marusarz was named one of the best young talents in ski jumping in the late 1920s and earned his first national title in 1931. Many skiers outside of the Nordic countries (Finland, Norway, and Sweden), who dominated classical skiing in the early 20th century, considered Marusarz "the best Nordic combiner in the world after heNorwegians."
