Croats In Sweden
Croats in Sweden ( sv, Sverigekroater) are citizens and residents of Sweden of Croatian descent. As of 2017, they number approximately 28,000 individuals. Croats mostly follow Catholicism, but a small minority that have been living in Sweden for generations have converted to Evangelicalism. They mostly live in Stockholm, the capital city, and in Malmö, in Rosengård district. The most successful football club of Croats of Sweden is NK Croatia Malmö, that played in 1988 the Swedish 2nd League, declared in 1989 with title "Best Immigrant Club of Europe", winner of Malmö Mästerskap four times (1988, 1989, 1991 and 2016). Swedish Language
Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. It has at least 10 million native speakers, the fourth most spoken Germanic language and the first among any other of its type in the Nordic countries overall. Swedish, like the other Nordic languages, is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is largely mutually intelligible with Norwegian and Danish, although the degree of mutual intelligibility is largely dependent on the dialect and accent of the speaker. Teddy Mark Šime Lučić (; born 15 April 1973) is a Swedish former footballer and manager. He played as a centre-back. Lučić made his debut for Sweden in 1995, and represented his country at three FIFA World Cups (1994, 2002, and 2006) and two UEFA European Championships (2000 and 2004), earning a total of 86 caps. The Croatian diaspora consists of communities of ethnic Croats and/or Croatian citizens living outside Croatia. Estimates on its size are only approximate because of incomplete statistical records and naturalization, but (highest) estimates suggest that the Croatian diaspora numbers between a third and a half of the total number of Croats. More than four million Croats live out of Croatia. The largest community outside Croatia are the Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the constituent nations of that country, amounting to about 750,000. The Croats (; hr, Hrvati ) are a South Slavic ethnic group who share a common Croatian ancestry, culture, history and language. They are also a recognized minority in a number of neighboring countries, namely Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Robin Simović (; born 29 May 1991) is a Swedish footballer of Croatian descent who currently plays for Croatian club Rudeš. Career Simović spent most of his youth playing for Malmö FF where he scored a total of 377 goals in 337 games for the various youth teams at the club.
