Cristian Fabián Díaz Sichi (born 18 May 1976 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine retired footballer who played as a central defender. Football career After beginning his career with native Club Atlético Platense, 21-year-old Díaz moved to Spain in 1997, going on to remain in the country the following 12 seasons. Two years earlier, he was picked to represent Argentina at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, with the national team winning the tournament in Qatar after defeating Brazil 2–0; during his career, he was nicknamed ''Camioncito'' (Little Truck). Díaz started with Atlético Madrid, all but representing the reserve side during his spell – the exception to this was on 14 April 1998, when he started in a 0–0 away draw against S.S. Lazio for the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup where he was charged with marking Alen Bokšić, excelling in the task as the Spaniards lost 0–1 on aggregate. The 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship, known as the 1995 FIFA/Coca-Cola World Youth Championship for sponsorship purposes, was the 10th edition of the FIFA World Youth Championship. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Alen Bokšić
Alen Bokšić (; born 21 January 1970) is a former Croatian professional footballer. A forward who spent most of his career in France and Italy, he was renowned for his technique and power, and is regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the Croatia national football team. With Marseille Bokšić won the 1992–93 UEFA Champions League, and was voted fourth in the 1993 European Footballer of the Year poll. That same year he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year. 1997–98 UEFA Cup
The 1997–98 UEFA Cup was won by Internazionale in an all-Italian final against Lazio. It was their third title in eight years in the competition. It was the first instance of the UEFA Cup final being a one-game contest at a neutral stadium, having previously being decided over two legs with each team having one home game.
