''Crisis'' is a 1963 Australian television play filmed in Brisbane made by the Christian Television Association. The cast included thirty volunteers from Sandcliffe Little Theatre and the Redcliff Music and Arts Society. Equipment was donanted by Brisbane General Hospital, the Red Cross and the Post Office. The play was a rare television drama filmed in Brisbane at the time. It may be the first drama made by Brisbane commercial stations in the 1960s, although the ABC produced several including ''Vacancy in Vaughan Street'' and '' Ring Out Wild Bells''. QTQ9
QTQ is an Australian television station, licensed to, and serving Brisbane, Queensland. It is owned by the Nine Entertainment Co., and is part of the Nine Network. It broadcasts on VHF Channel 8 (Digital television, digital). QTQ began broadcasting on 16 August 1959 as the first commercial television station in Queensland. QTQ-9 is the home of the National Rugby League, NRL coverage. ''Vacancy in Vaughn Street'' is a 1963 Australian television short. It was the first television play produced in Brisbane. and aired on Australian Broadcasting Commission. The same team then made ''Dark Brown'' (1963). Plot Ernie Pettifer, a carpenter, arrives at a boarding house run by Mrs Jessup and her husband Arthur. He falls in love with straightlaced teacher Florence Medway. Another boarder, Violet, is interested in Ernie. Gerard Kennedy
Gerard Michael Kennedy (born July 24, 1960) is a Canadian politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as Ontario's minister of Education from 2003 to 2006, when he resigned to make an unsuccessful bid for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. Kennedy previously ran for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party, losing to future premier Dalton McGuinty on the final ballot. He lost the 2013 Ontario Liberal leadership race. While attending the University of Alberta in Edmonton, he became involved in the local food bank, eventually becoming its first executive director in 1983. In 1986, he moved to Toronto to run the Daily Bread Food Bank and did so until he entered politics, in 1996. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as an Ontario Liberal Party Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in a 1996 by-election to replace former premier Bob Rae in the York South constituency.
