Dick Crippen
Dick Crippen is a former sports and weatherman anchor in the Tampa Bay area, Tampa Bay, Florida television market. Crippen began his career at American Broadcasting Company, ABC affiliate (Now CBS) WTSP, WLCY-TV Channel 10 in 1965 as one of the station's first on-air personalities. In 1981, he left for rival WFLA-TV. He anchored the evening sportscasts until the late 1990s. In the late 1970s through 1984 he was the public address announcer for Tampa Bay Rowdies (1975–93), Tampa Bay Rowdies home soccer games at Tampa Stadium. He also served as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' radio play-by-play announcer for the first half of the 1978 season. Dan Crippen
Dan Crippen (born March 18, 1952, in Canistota, South Dakota) was the executive director of the National Governors Association from 2011 to 2015. He now serves as member of the Board of Trustees to the Center for Health Care Strategies, Inc. and a member of the advisory board of the Peterson Center on Healthcare. He is a former director of the Congressional Budget Office and assistant to the president for Ronald Reagan. Crippen served on NASA's Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel. He graduated from the University of South Dakota (B.S. 1974) and Ohio State University (M.A. 1976; Ph.D. 1981). Fran Crippen
Francis Crippen (April 17, 1984 – October 23, 2010) was an American long-distance swimmer. After being a pool swimmer for most of his career, Crippen made the transition to open water swimming in 2006. In international competitions, Crippen won seven medals, five of which were in the open water and two in the pool. Crippen died during an open water swimming race in the United Arab Emirates in 2010 at the age of 26. Biography Crippen was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1984 to Pete and Pat Crippen. He graduated from Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, in 2002. Crippen graduated from the University of Virginia in 2006 where he majored in sociology. Hawley Harvey Crippen (September 11, 1862 – November 23, 1910), usually known as Dr. Crippen, was an American homeopath, ear and eye specialist and medicine dispenser. He was hanged in Pentonville Prison in London for the murder of his wife Cora Henrietta Crippen. Crippen was one of the first criminals to be captured with the aid of wireless telegraphy.
