Credo (Jennifer Rush Album)
''Credo'' is the eighth studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush. It was released by EMI Records on March 24, 1997. Rush worked with gospel and African choirs on the album who backed her on three of the tracks. Chiefly produced by Nick Patrick (record producer), eight of the eleven songs on ''Credo'' are cover versions, with two original songs co-written by Rush. Notable songs featured on the album are renditions of Cheap Trick's " The Flame" (1988) and "The Places You Find Love," originally recorded by Barbra Streisand in 1988 and then by Quincy Jones for his 1989 ''Back on the Block'' album, as well as a cover of John Farnham's 1987 Australian hit "A Touch of Paradise." The album did enter the charts in her most loyal market, Germany, where it reached number 26 on the German Albums Chart. Jennifer Rush
Jennifer Rush (born Heidi Stern; September 28, 1960) is an American pop and rock singer. She achieved success during the mid-1980s with several singles and studio albums including the million-selling single " The Power of Love", which she co-wrote and released in 1984. Her greatest success came in Europe, particularly Germany. Early life Rush was born Heidi Stern in the New York City borough of Queens and has two older brothers. Her father, Maurice Stern, is an operatic tenor, voice teacher, and sculptor. Her parents divorced, and she and her brothers lived with their mother only until Rush was a toddler, and then with their father and his second wife on the Upper West Side of the borough of Manhattan. "Piano in the Dark" is a song by American singer-songwriter Brenda Russell (featuring backing vocals by Joe Esposito). It was the first single to be taken from Russell's 1988 album, '' Get Here''. Song information Russell, believing "that in every title there's a song somewhere," made a habit of "collecting" interesting phrases she heard and placing them in a notebook for potential song titles. It was through this process that she wrote the lyrics to "Piano in the Dark" as the title seemed to fit with the music her co-writers sent her. Ross Wilson (musician)
Ross Andrew Wilson (born 18 November 1947) is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician and producer. He is the co-founder and frontman of the long-standing rock groups Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock, as well as a number of other former bands, in addition to performing solo. He has produced records for bands such as Skyhooks and Jo Jo Zep & the Falcons, as well as for those of his own bands. He appeared as a judge on celebrity singing TV series '' It Takes Two'' from 2005. Gulliver Smith
Kevin Gullifer Hopkins-Smith (born Kevin Gullifer Smith; c. 1950 – November 2014), who performed as Little Gulliver and Gulliver Smith (also styled as Gullifer Smith), was an Australian singer and songwriter from the early 1960s to mid-2000s. He was the front man and founding mainstay vocalist of Company Caine. In 1976 he and Ross Wilson co-wrote "A Touch of Paradise" for Wilson's group, Mondo Rock, which appeared on their third album, ''Nuovo Mondo'' (July 1982).
