''Creatures'' is the debut studio album by American metalcore band Motionless in White. It was released on October 12, 2010, through Fearless Records and was produced by Andrew Wade. The album produced four singles: "Abigail", "Immaculate Misconception", the title track "Creatures" and "Puppets (The First Snow)", all four of which have accompanying music videos. The album also produced three promotional singles: "Abigail", which was later released as the first official single of the album, "London in Terror", and "Cobwebs". The title "creatures" is also commonly used to refer to the fans of the band. On October 9, 2020, Motionless in White released a 10th anniversary re-issue of the album titled ''Creatures X''. ''Creatures'' is an artificial life video game series, created in the mid-1990s by English computer scientist Steve Grand (roboticist), Steve Grand whilst working for the Cambridge video games developer Millennium Interactive. Gameplay focuses on raising alien creatures known as Norns, teaching them to survive, helping them explore their world, defending them against other species, and breeding them. Words can be taught to creatures by a learning computer (for verbs) or by repeating the name of the object while the creature is looking at it. After a creature understands language, the player can instruct their creature by typing in instructions, which the creature may choose to obey. A complete life cycle is modelled for the creatures – childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and senescence, each with their own particular needs.
