Crazy World (Big Trouble Song)
"Crazy World" is a song by American female pop group Big Trouble, which was released in 1987 as the lead single from their only studio album, '' Big Trouble''. It was written by Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock, and produced by Moroder. "Crazy World" peaked at No. 71 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. A re-issue in the UK in 1988 saw the song reach No. 96 on the UK Singles Chart. Promotion A music video was filmed to promote the single, which features the band performing the song inside a garage. It was directed by Tony Vanden-Ende and produced by Colleen McLean. Critical reception On its release, ''Billboard'' listed the single under "new and noteworthy" and commented: "On this synth-rock release, the group draws on the various musical upbringings from which it has emerged; single's Berlin meets ZZ Top stance has great pop potential." Big Trouble (band)
Big Trouble was an American female pop group, who recorded one album and released a total of two minor hit singles. History Like the formation of 60s group The Monkees, Big Trouble was an all-female pop group put together by TV executive Fred Silverman. The group consisted of vocalist Bobbie Eakes, bassist Julia Farey, keyboardist Rebecca Ryan and drummer Suzy Zarow. Eakes was originally Miss Georgia in 1983. After deciding on all band members except the vocalist, Silverman auditioned approximately five hundred vocalists, where Eakes was the one to win the part. The band made their start on the Mack & Jamie comedy show; they would often appear as the "house band" on the series ''Comedy Break'', and Eakes would occasionally appear as a performer in the sketches. The band signed to Epic Records in 1987, and recorded their first single - a Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock track titled "All I Need Is You". Record Mirror
''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US ''Billboard'' charts. Bobbie Diane Eakes (born July 25, 1961) is an American actress and singer. She is known for her role as Macy Alexander on ''The Bold and the Beautiful'' (1989–2000, 2001, 2002–2003) and for her role as Krystal Carey on ''All My Children'' (2003–2011). Maria Luisa McKee (born August 17, 1964) is an American singer-songwriter. She is best known for her work with Lone Justice, her 1990 song "Show Me Heaven", and her song "If Love Is a Red Dress (Hang Me in Rags)" from the film ''Pulp Fiction''. She is the half-sister of Bryan MacLean, who was best known as a guitarist and vocalist in the band Love. Early life Maria McKee was born in Los Angeles in 1964. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper.
