County Route 105 (CR 105) is a major north–south county road in Suffolk County, New York, in the United States. It is a four-lane, mostly divided highway that runs from County Route 104 (Suffolk County, New York), CR 104 to Sound Avenue in Northville, west of the western terminus of County Route 48 (Suffolk County, New York), CR 48 in Mattituck. Route description The road begins at an at-grade interchange with County Route 104 (Suffolk County, New York), CR 104 in the David Allen Sarnoff Pine Barrens Preservation Area, southwest of Flanders, New York, Flanders. It immediately curves from an east–west trajectory to a north–south one before its intersection with New York State Route 24 (NY 24). From that point on, the road becomes a semi-limited-access highway as it crosses the Peconic River before running through Riverhead Golf Course and crossing Sawmill Creek. Flanders is a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 4,472 at the 2010 census. It is the location of the Big Duck. It is located in the town of Southampton on the south side of the Peconic River at its mouth in Peconic Bay. Riverhead is across the river to the north. It runs northwest and southeast from New York State Route 27 (NY 27) at exit 62 near Eastport to Interstate 495 (I-495) at exit 70 in Manorville. Suffolk County Community College
Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) is a public community college in Selden, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is funded in part by Suffolk County, New York. Suffolk County Community College was founded in 1959 and has three campuses: Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead. It also has two satellite centers in Sayville and downtown Riverhead. The school was founded largely through the efforts of Albert Ammerman who was the college's president from its founding in December 1959 until 1983. In its first year it had 13 faculty with 171 full-time students at the Sachem High School in Ronkonkoma and 335 part-time students at Riverhead High School until what is now called the Ammerman campus opened in 1962 in the former Suffolk County Tuberculosis Sanatorium (originally built in 1912). New York State Route 25 (NY 25) is an east–west state highway in downstate New York in the United States. The route extends for just over from east midtown Manhattan in New York City to the Cross Sound Ferry terminal at Orient Point on the end of Long Island's North Fork. NY 25 is carried from Manhattan to Queens by way of the double-decked Queensboro Bridge over the East River. NY 25 is unique among New York State Routes on Long Island, as it is the only one to leave the geographical boundaries of Long Island, albeit minimally; it ends at the western terminus of the Queensboro Bridge.
