''Countrified'' is the fifth studio album by Canadian country music band Emerson Drive. It was released in 2006 in music, 2006 as their first issue for the Midas Records label. In the U.S., the album produced three singles on the Hot Country Songs charts: "A Good Man", "Moments" (the band's first Number One hit), and "You Still Own Me". Two of the album's tracks are covers: "You Still Own Me" was previously a hit in Canada for Johnny Reid, and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" is a cover of a song made famous by the Charlie Daniels Band. Emerson Drive
Emerson Drive is a Canadian country music band consisting of Brad Mates (lead vocals), Danick Dupelle (guitars, backing vocals), Mike Melancon (drums), and Dale Wallace (keyboards, backing vocals). The band was founded in 1995 as 12 Gauge, which consisted of Mates, Pat Allingham (fiddle), Steven Swager (bass guitar), Chris Hartman (keyboards), Dan Binns (guitar), David Switzer (guitar), and Reni Barre (drums); Swager was replaced with Jeff Loberg early on. After recording under this name, the band moved to the United States in 1999 and renamed themselves to Emerson Drive. They released two albums for the former DreamWorks Records Nashville branch: ''Emerson Drive'' in 2002 and '' What If?'' in 2004. Randall "Ronnie" Rogers (born in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American country music singer and songwriter. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. Gordon James Mote (born October 25, 1970) is an American Christian country/southern gospel singer, piano virtuoso, and worship leader. He was born blind. He has released eight studio albums. Charlie Daniels
Charles Edward Daniels (October 28, 1936 – July 6, 2020) was an American singer, musician, and songwriter. His music fused rock, country, blues and jazz, pioneering Southern rock. He was best known for his number-one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" is a song written and performed by the Charlie Daniels, Charlie Daniels Band and released on their 1979 album ''Million Mile Reflections''. The song is written in the key of D minor. Vassar Clements originally wrote the basic melody an octave lower, in a tune called "Lonesome Fiddle Blues" released on Clements' self-titled 1975 album on which Charlie Daniels played guitar. The Charlie Daniels Band moved it up an octave and put words to it. Larry Michael White is an American country music artist. The son of songwriter L. E. White, who has written for Conway Twitty, Michael had a song he wrote recorded when he was still a teenager. "You Make It Hard To Take The Easy Way Out" appeared on the B-side to Conway Twitty's hit "You've Never Been This Far Before". Noah Adrian Gordon (born September 19, 1971, in Sparta, Illinois) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He had been a musician since childhood, playing mandolin and drums in his parents' band, and he began playing drums for Randy Travis at age ten.
