Council Of Economic Advisers (Scotland)
The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) in Scotland was a group of economists and leading figures from the private sector and academia who advised the Scottish Government. Its principal aims were to advise on improving the competitiveness of the Scottish economy and how to tackle inequality within Scotland. It was established in 2007, meeting for the first time on 21 September. The Council had two formal meetings a year and also carried out engagement and work between meetings. Minutes of its meetings and other reports are available on its website. The council was replaced in 2021 with the Advisory Council for Economic Transformation. The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) is a United States agency within the Executive Office of the President established in 1946, which advises the President of the United States on economic policy. The CEA provides much of the empirical research for the White House and prepares the publicly-available annual Economic Report of the President. Activities Economic Report of the President The report is published by the CEA annually in February, no later than 10 days after the Budget of the US Government is submitted. The president typically writes a letter introducing the report, serving as an executive summary and used for press coverage. The report proceeds with several hundred pages of qualitative and quantitative research by reviewing the impact of economy, economic activity in the previous year, outlining the economic goals for the coming year (based on the President's economic agenda), and making numerical projections of economic performance and outcomes. Sir Vito Antonio Muscatelli (born 1 January 1962) is the Principal of the University of Glasgow and one of the United Kingdom's top economists. Early life Anton Muscatelli was born on 1 January 1962 in Bari, Italy to Ambrogio and Rosellina Muscatelli. He lived in Mola di Bari in his early years.
