Cory Wade (music Producer)
Cory Wade (born May 6, 1936) former record producer, director of A&R, songwriter, publisher, and recording studio manager. He has produced more than 35 gold and platinum records from 1973 to 1982, and has won numerous music industry awards, a Grammy Award nomination, and two American Music Award nominations. Wade was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. He is best known for producing various hits within the disco genre in the 1970s and 1980s. As producer for TK Records, Wade produced the 1977 single "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky with Me," by Peter Brown, which became the first 12-inch single to sell a million copies. Cory Wade also produced hit recordings for Foxy, including " Get Off", selling more than a million 12-inch and album copies. George Warren McCrae Jr. (born October 19, 1944) is an American soul music, soul and disco singing, singer who is most famous for his 1974 hit "Rock Your Baby". Biography and career McCrae was the second of nine children, born in West Palm Beach, Florida, West Palm Beach, Florida. He formed his own singing group, the Jivin' Jets, before joining the United States Navy in 1963. He married Gwen McCrae (née Mosley) in 1963. Atlantic Recording Corporation (simply known as Atlantic Records) is an American record label founded in October 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun and Herb Abramson. Brighter Side of Darkness was an American R&B/soul group. They were formed in 1971 at Calumet High School in Chicago, Illinois. Their lead singers were Ralph Eskridge and 12-year-old Darryl Lamont. The other members were Randolph Murph and Larry Washington. They released the single "Love Jones" in December 1972. Charles Andre Glenn (born 1967), professionally known by his stage name Afrika Islam, is an American hip hop DJ and producer. He was one of the pioneers of hip hop culture and the hip hop radio station. He began his musical career in 1977 as a ten-year-old, joining the group Rock Steady Crew. He started as an apprentice to Afrika Bambaataa, from whom he learned the art of remixing tracks. He was responsible for the events that the Zulu Nation held during the 1970s.
