Corps Of Naval Engineering
The Corps of Naval Engineering () is part of the Italian Navy under the control of the Ministry of Defence. Mission The Corps of Naval Engineering is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Navy's shipbuilding material. The officers of naval engineering are serving both as engineer officers on board naval vessels, both in the management personnel of the Navy technical bodies, especially the Naval Arsenal. On board, the officers carry out tasks of responsibility regarding the propulsion, the generation of electricity, the hull, the security and all the installations not on-board electronics. They arrive to the appointment of Chief Engineer. On land you have instead support duties in the arsenals for vessels in the work, to aid in the design of new units and responsibility in the technical environment. Naval architecture, or naval engineering, is an engineering discipline incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the engineering design process, shipbuilding, maintenance, and operation of marine vessels and structures. Naval architecture involves basic and applied research, design, development, design evaluation (classification) and calculations during all stages of the life of a marine vehicle. Preliminary design of the vessel, its detailed design, construction, trials, operation and maintenance, launching and dry-docking are the main activities involved. Ship design calculations are also required for ships being modified (by means of conversion, rebuilding, modernization, or repair). Naval architecture also involves formulation of safety regulations and damage-control rules and the approval and certification of ship designs to meet statutory and non-statutory requirements. Saint Barbara ( grc, Ἁγία Βαρβάρα; cop, Ϯⲁⲅⲓⲁ Ⲃⲁⲣⲃⲁⲣⲁ; ; ), known in the Eastern Orthodox Church as the Great Martyr Barbara, was an Early Christianity, early Christian Lebanese and Greek saint and martyr. Accounts place her in the 3rd century in Heliopolis Phoenicia, present-day Baalbek, Lebanon, and recent discovered texts in the Saida early church archives suggest her maternal grandmother is a descendant from Miye ou Miye village. There is no reference to her in the authentic early Christian writings nor in the original recension of Martyrologium Hieronymianum, Saint Jerome's martyrology. The Ministry of Defence ( it, Ministero della Difesa, or MDD) is the government body of the Italian Republic responsible for military and civil defence matters and managing the Italian Armed Forces. It is led by the Italian Minister of Defence, a position occupied by Guido Crosetto since October 2022.
