Cork–Dublin Gaelic Football Rivalry
The Cork-Dublin rivalry is a Gaelic football rivalry between Irish county teams Cork and Dublin, who first played each other in 1891. It is considered to be one of the biggest rivalries in Gaelic games. Cork's home ground is Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Dublin's home ground is Parnell Park, however, all of their championship meetings have been held at neutral venues, usually Croke Park. While Cork have the second highest number of Munster titles and Dublin are the standard bearers in Leinster, they have also enjoyed success in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, having won 35 championship titles between them to date. Leinster ( ; ga, Laighin or ) is one of the provinces of Ireland, situated in the southeast and east of Ireland. The province comprises the ancient Kingdoms of Meath, Leinster and Osraige. Daniel Goulding
Daniel Goulding (born 6 July 1986 in Ovens, County Cork, Ireland) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Éire Óg and has been a member of the Cork senior inter-county team since 2006. Biography Born in Ovens, County Cork, Goulding was educated at the local national school before later attending Coláiste Choilm in nearby Ballincollig. Here he became a star on the school football team, winning Cork colleges and Munster honours in all grades. Goulding later studied structural engineering at the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and qualified with a first class honours degree in 2008. Donncha O'Connor
Donncha O'Connor (born 25 April 1981) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who currently plays as a full-forward for the Cork senior team. He joined the team during the 2006 championship and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. O'Connor is Cork's all-time top scorer. He has won one All-Ireland winners' medal, four Munster winners' medals and three National League winners' medal. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. Alan Quirke (born 19 October 1976 in Innishannon, County Cork, Ireland) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Valley Rovers and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team from 1999 to 2013. Playing career Club Quirke plays Gaelic football with his local club Valley Rovers and has enjoyed much success with the great club. Ray Carey (born 7 July 1986 Cork) is an Irish former sportsperson. Progressing from playing Gaelic football with his local club Clyda Rovers, he became a member of the Cork senior inter-county team in 2009 and won an All-Ireland senior medal in 2010. Playing career Club Carey plays his club football with his local club called Clyda Rovers. Bernard Brogan (junior)
Bernard Brogan (born 3 April 1984) is a Gaelic footballer from the St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club who previously played for the Dublin county team. He is originally from the Battery Heights. Brian Mullins
Brian Mullins (27 September 1954 – 30 September 2022) was an Irish Gaelic football Manager (Gaelic games), manager and player. He played football with his local club St Vincents GAA, St Vincent's and was a senior member of the Dublin county football team, Dublin county team from 1974 until 1985. Mullins later served as manager of both Dublin and Derry county football team, Derry. He was regarded as one of Dublin's greatest-ever players. Jimmy Keaveney
James Keaveney (born 12 February 1945) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career at senior level with the Dublin county team spanned sixteen seasons from 1964 to 1980. Keaveney is widely regarded as one of Dublin's greatest-ever players. William Morgan (born 2 February 1945) is an Irish former Gaelic football manager who played as goalkeeper at senior level for and, later, managed the Cork county team.
