Coralee O'Rourke
Coralee Jane O'Rourke is a former Australian politician. She was the Labor member for Mundingburra in the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 2015 until retirement in 2020. Early life and education O'Rourke attended Queensland University of Technology and completed a bachelor's degree in Education (Early Childhood) and was the Director of a community-based early learning centre in Aitkenvale (Townsville) prior to her election to Parliament on 31 January 2015. Political career O'Rourke was sworn in as Minister for Disability Services, Minister for Seniors and Minister Assisting the Premier on North Queensland in the Palaszczuk Ministry on 16 February 2015. She currently lives in Townsville with her husband and their two teenaged children. On 5 September 2020, O'Rourke announced that she would not be running in the 2020 Queensland election. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, milk rejection, fluid coming from the nipple, a newly inverted nipple, or a red or scaly patch of skin. In those with distant spread of the disease, there may be bone pain, swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, or yellow skin. The Queensland Labor Party (QLP) was a political party of Queensland, Australia formed in 1957 by a breakaway group of the then ruling Labor Party Government after the expulsion of Premier Vince Gair. In 1962 the party became the Queensland section of the Democratic Labor Party (DLP). The party continued to hold seats in the Queensland state parliament until 1972, then suffered a collapse in its vote and wound itself up in 1978. History In Queensland, Vince Gair became Labor leader and premier in 1952. The Central Executive of the ALP expelled Gair on 24 April 1957 because of his support of the Groupers. The First Palaszczuk Ministry was a ministry of the Government of Queensland led by Annastacia Palaszczuk. Palaszczuk led the Labor Party to victory in the 2015 state election, forming a minority government with the support of independent MP Peter Wellington. Her interim ministry was sworn in on 14 February 2015 by Governor Paul de Jersey. The full Palaszczuk Ministry was sworn in two days later. The Legislative Assembly of Queensland is the sole chamber of the unicameral Parliament of Queensland established under the Constitution of Queensland. Elections are held every four years and are done by full preferential voting. The Assembly has 93 members, who have used the letters MP after their names since 2000 (previously they were styled MLAs).
