Coppa Città Di Sesto San Giovanni
The Coppa Città di Sesto San Giovanni is an annual racewalking competition that takes place on 1 May in Sesto San Giovanni in Italy. It is an elite level event which features a men's and a women's race in the 20 kilometres race walk. Organised by Geas Atletica, it has been part of the IAAF World Race Walking Challenge – the highest seasonal level of the sport – since the series was inaugurated in 2003. The competition was first established in 1957 as a men's only road walking competition. After various distances ranging from 25 to 32 kilometres in its initial years, the race settled on a 30 km distance from 1960 onwards.Sesto San Giovanni - 30 Km.

Abdon Pamich (right)
Abdon Pamich (born 3 October 1933) is a former Italy, Italian race walking, race walker. He competed in the race walking event at the 1956, 1960, 1964, 1968, and 1972 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 1960 and a gold in 1964. Pamich was the List of flag bearers for Italy at the Olympics, Olympics flag bearer for Italy in 1972. Biography Pamich was born in Fiume (Rijeka, present-day Croatia) on 3 October 1933, at that time the city was under Italian jurisdiction. He left Rijeka for Italy, with his older brother, on 24 September 1947 and joined his father who had emigrated earlier. On 16 October 1960 he set a Men's 50 kilometres walk world record progression, world record over 50 km at 4:03:02 in Ponte San Pietro. Later he was inducted into the FIDAL Hall of Fame. Christoph Höhne
Christoph Höhne (born 12 February 1941 in Borsdorf, Saxony) is a racewalker who competed in the 50 km walk for East Germany in the 1960s and 1970s. Career Höhne won the gold medal in the 50 km walk at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City and participated in the Olympics in 1964 and 1972. His Olympic victory made history as his margin of victory was over ten minutes. He participated in an episode of the cold war in sports at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. On the evening before the race, East German officials received an anonymous tip that he wanted to defect during the 50 km race. They did not believe the allegations, but Höhne went to the start line unnerved and finished in fourteenth place. Ann Jansson (racewalker)
Ann Jansson (born 1 July 1958) is a Sweden, Swedish former racewalking athlete. Career She represented her country at the World Championships in Athletics, IAAF World Indoor Championships and six times at the IAAF World Race Walking Cup. She was a medallist at the European Athletics Championships in 1986. She was a pioneer in the early period of international women's walking and broke several List of European records in athletics, European records. Her 10 kilometres race walk time of 47:58.2 minutes in 1981 was the first ever ratified by the European Athletics Association and she improved this to 47:49.3 the following year, and twice more to 46:14.3 in 1985 and 46:13.2 in 1986. Maurizio Damilano (born 6 April 1957 in Scarnafigi, Italy) is an Italian former race walker. He won 15 individual medals (22 also with team events), at senior level, at the International athletics competitions.
