Cook's Country
''Cook's Country'' is an American half-hour television cooking show on the PBS public broadcasting channel. The show is based on ''Cook's Country'' magazine (published by the same company as ''Cook's Illustrated''). Cast The structure of ''Cook's Country'' is similar to sister show ''America's Test Kitchen'', with many of the same cast. Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison host the show. Jack Bishop is in charge of the Tasting Lab, while Adam Ried features new products in the Equipment Corner. Julia Collin Davison did not appear during season 2. She returned in season 3. Christopher Kimball hosted the show for the first nine seasons. Jack Bishop
Jack Bishop is an American celebrity chef and food author whose specialty is Italian cuisine. He is the chief creative officer of ''America's Test Kitchen'' on PBS. Personal life Bishop studied cooking in Florence, Italy. He graduated from Mountain Lakes High School, New Jersey and considers Mountain Lakes his hometown. His mother first taught him to cook at home when he was 12 years old, as she worked late hours and his father was not a very good cook. He lives in Sag Harbor, New York, with his food-writer wife Lauren Chattman and their two daughters. Bishop is a decade-long member of his local community farm. Hot Buttered Rum (also known as Hot Buttered Rum String Band and HBRSB) is an American five-piece progressive bluegrass act based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
