Constant Conversations
"Constant Conversations" is a song by American indietronica band Passion Pit from their second studio album, ''Gossamer'' (2012). The song was written and produced by the band's frontman Michael Angelakos. It was released as the third single from the album in July 2012. Constant Conversations was reviewed and featured as "best new track" by Pitchfork. It was released with the review as streamed content. Constant Conversations was chosen at #63 in "The Top 100 tracks by 2012", hosted by Pitchfork. On February 28, 2013, American rapper Juicy J officially remixed Constant Conversations. The remix still features the vocals of Angelakos, however the song structure was rearranged. Andrew Paul Dost (born April 10, 1983) is an American musician, singer and is member of the indie rock band Fun., in which he plays several instruments, mainly the piano. He was formerly a member of the indie rock band Anathallo from 2003 to 2007. Early and personal life Andrew Dost was born to father Mark Dost, a retired teacher at Frankfort High School, and mother Cheryl, also a retired teacher at Frankfort High School. "Carry On" is a song by American indie pop band fun. It was released on 23 October 2012 as the third single off their second album, '' Some Nights''. The song was written by the band members, Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, Jack Antonoff, alongside the album's producer, Jeff Bhasker. Composition "Carry On" has been called "a song about perseverance in hard times", which is supported by a rock-anthem sound written in F major and composed in 12/8 time. The song begins with Ruess singing with faint vocals, as he confronts a potential suicide. Michael John Angelakos (born May 19, 1987) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the frontman of the indietronica band Passion Pit. Career Passion Pit (2008–present) The first Passion Pit songs, which would later become the ''Chunk of Change'' EP, were written by Angelakos at Emerson College as a belated Valentine's Day gift to his then-girlfriend. At first, he wrote and performed all his material alone using a laptop.
