Conor O'Callaghan (born 2000) is an Irish hurling, hurler who plays for Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship, Duhallow Junior Championship club Dromtarriffe GAA, Dromtarriffe and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Playing career Dromtarriffe O'Callaghan joined the Dromtarriffe GAA, Dromtarriffe club at a young age and represented Keale Gaels GAA, Keale Gaels, an amalgamation of Dromtarriffe and Millstreet GAA, Millstreet, in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. Canon O'Brien Cup
The Canon O'Brien Cup is an annual hurling match contested by Cork and University College Cork. The match, usually played in January at the Mardyke Sports Ground, is often regarded as a pre-season warm-up game for the two participants. Organised by the Cork County Board, admission to the match is free; however, those attending the game are asked to make a donation to volunteer collectors on the day, with all proceeds going to the Irish Alzheimer's Society. The 2019 Munster Senior Hurling League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League, is the fourth Munster Senior Hurling League, an annual hurling league competition for county teams from the province of Munster. David Lowney
David Lowney (born 8 October 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-back for club side Clonakilty, divisional side Carbery, university side University College Cork and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Playing career University College Cork On 23 February 2019, Lowney was a substitute for University College Cork when they faced Mary Immaculate College in the Fitzgibbon Cup final. He was introduced in the 52nd minute in the 2-21 to 0-13 victory. Lowney played in a second successive Fitzgibbon Cup final on 12 February 2020. The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. Prior to 2019 an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was held. The championship began on 25 May 2019 and ended on 24 August 2019. Tipperary were the defending champions. On 24 August 2019, Tipperary won the championship following a 5-17 to 1-18 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 11th All-Ireland title overall and their second title in succession. 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 88th staging of the All-Ireland minor hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling competition for boys aged between fifteen and seventeen. The championship began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 19 August 2018. Galway were the defending champions and successfully defended the title after a 0-21 to 0-14 win over Kilkenny in the final on 19 August. The 2018 championship saw the biggest change in format since the introduction of the "back-door system" for beaten provincial finalists in 1997. The 2008 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 29 March 2008 and ended on 7 September 2008. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 7 September 2008 Kilkenny won the championship following a 3-6 to 0-13 defeat of Galway in a replay of the All-Ireland final.
