Route 150 is a state highway in southern Connecticut running for from the village of Northford, in the town of North Branford, through the center of Wallingford, to the village of Yalesville in Wallingford. Route description Route 150 begins at an intersection with Route 22 in North Branford and heads northwest into Wallingford. In Wallingford, it heads north, intersecting I-91 at Exit 14. It then continues north and northwest to the center of Wallingford, where it crosses US 5. It then crosses the Quinnipiac River and intersects the Wilbur Cross Parkway ( Route 15) at Exit 65, where it bends north-northeast. It meets Route 68 in the center of Yalesville just before crossing the Quinnipiac a second time. It then overlaps Route 71 for 0.13 miles through the one-lane Yalesville Underpass. Route 71 is a north–south state highway in Connecticut, running from Wallingford to West Hartford. It is the main north–south road of Meriden, Berlin and New Britain. Route description Route 71 begins at an intersection with US 5 in Wallingford. After 0.23 miles, it joins Route 150 for a wrong way concurrency through the Yalesville Underpass. Route 71 resumes its northward course, entering Meriden and passing the east end of Route 70. In the center of Meriden, Route 71 becomes a pair of one way sections as it intersects West Main Street. While southbound traffic may continue from West Main Street onto Cook Avenue, northbound traffic must turn right onto Hanover Street, then left onto South Grove Street, and left onto West Main Street to continue. Route 68 is an east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut connecting the towns of Durham and Naugatuck. Route description Route 68 begins at Route 63 in Naugatuck. After crossing the Naugatuck River, it overpasses the Route 8 expressway, with access via Union Street (SR 723) and North Main Street (SR 710). Route 68 then leaves the Naugatuck River Valley and ascends to Prospect, where it intersects Route 69 in the center of town. It then descends once again into Cheshire, where it joins Route 70 for a 3.1 mile concurrency. In the center of Cheshire, the concurrency becomes a 0.15 mile triplex with Route 10. Wilbur Cross Parkway
The Wilbur Cross Parkway (also known locally as "The Merritt" in conjunction with its counterpart) is a limited access road in Connecticut, comprising the portion of Route 15 between Milford and Meriden. It is named after Wilbur Lucius Cross, a former governor of the state (1931–1939). Commercial vehicles, trailers, towed vehicles (except as provided in Connecticut state law Section 14.298.240), buses, hearses, and large vehicles are prohibited from using the parkway. The Wilbur Cross Parkway had two toll barriers located in Milford and Wallingford until 1988, which now serve as service plazas.
