Buchanan Field Airport
Buchanan Field Airport is a public airport in Contra Costa County, California, United States, a mile west of the center of Concord and east of Pacheco. The airport's street address is 550 Sally Ride Drive, Concord. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''reliever airport''. It has a control tower. History In 1942 Contra Costa County, California, purchased land for an airport in Central County for $88,000. The airport was being developed by the county until the United States Army Air Forces Fourth Air Force expropriated the site. The Army added land and built airport facilities and a training base for pilots, Concord Army Air Base. In 1946 the War Assets Administration (WAA) returned the airport to the county. In 1947 the transfer was formalized and the airport was named for County Supervisor William J. Buchanan, who served on the County Board of Supervisors for more than forty years. Concord Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located east of the central business district of Concord, a city in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility. This general aviation airport is publicly owned by the City of Concord. There was once scheduled airline service at the airport on Northeast Airlines; nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, south of Concord Airport (accessible by a 25-mile drive down the F.E. Everett Turnpike), has largely succeeded Concord for most commercial and even some general aviation flights. Concord Regional Airport
Concord-Padgett Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use airport located seven nautical miles (13 km) west of the central business district of Concord, a city in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, United States. According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, it is classified as a reliever airport for Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned JQF by the FAA but had no designation from the IATA until August 22, 2013 when it was assigned the IATA code USA. Because of the multiple race teams that base aircraft fleets at JQF and its proximity to Charlotte Motor Speedway, the airport is sometimes referred to as "NASCAR's Airport."
