Warner Park Sporting Complex
Warner Park Sporting Complex is an athletic facility in Basseterre, St. Kitts, St. Kitts and Nevis. It includes the Warner Park Stadium, which was one of the hosts for the 2007 Cricket World Cup. It is named after Thomas Warner (explorer), Sir Thomas Warner, the explorer who established the first English colony on St. Kitts. The eastern segment contains the cricket pitch, pavilion, media centre and seating for 4,000 which can be increased with temporary stands to 10,000 for major events. The stadium was largely financed by Republic of China, Taiwan with donations totalling United States dollar, $2.74 million. The total project cost US$12 million, half for the cricket stadium and half for the association football, football facilities. Saint Kitts And Nevis Premier Division
The SKNFA Premier League, known for sponsorship reasons as the SKNFA National Bank Premier League (previously SKNFA Digicel Super League), is the Saint Kitts top division, created in 1980 and organized by the St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association. It currently has 10 participating clubs and the season lasts from September to May. At the Regular Stage, each club plays the others twice (home and away) and the top four teams qualify to Super Four stage. The qualified teams play each other once and the top two teams from Super Four play a 3-legged Championship Play-off to determine the season champion. The lowest placed team in Regular Stage is relegated to Saint Kitts and Nevis Division 1, from which another one is promoted. Saint Peter Basseterre is one of 14 administrative parishes that make up Saint Kitts and Nevis. It is located on the main island of Saint Kitts and the parish capital is Monkey Hill. Land The parish's consists of forest-covered rugged hills and mountains in the North west and interior, climaxing at the near Olivee's Mountain. Another notable feature is Monkey Hill, which rises to over above sea level. It lies just South-East of Olivee's Mountain.
