Román Viñoly Barreto (8 August 1914 – 20 August 1970) was a Uruguayan-Argentine film director. Biography Viñoly Barreto directed 28 feature films between 1947 and 1966 including ''The Black Vampire'', '' Paper Boats'', the 1954 film '' El Abuelo'' which starred Enrique Muino and Mecha Ortiz and Esta Es Mi Vida starring Miguel de Molina. His 1958 film ''Los dioses ajenos'' was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival. His 1965 film ''La pérgola de las flores'' was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Two years later, he was a member of the jury of the 5th Moscow International Film Festival. He was also a notable screenwriter, theater and opera director. Personal life The director was the father of architect Rafael Viñoly, artist Daniel Viñoly, and Dr. Ana Maria de la Merced Viñoly. Alba Mujica (née Alba Mugica; 1916 in Carhué – 1983 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine film and stage actress. She was the sister of actor and film director René Mugica. Her mother was the actress Emilia Rosales (Emilia Mugica). She was the mother of the actress Bárbara Mujica. Mujica attended school in La Plata. She was an actress in Argentine theater and cinema in the 1950s and 1960s. Her memoir ''El tiempo entre los dientes'' was published in 1967. Carhué's Italian Mutual Society Entertainment Hall is named "René Mugica and Mugica Alba" in recognition of the siblings. Raúl del Valle (1908 in Chile – 21 January 1973, in La Rioja, Argentina) was a Chilean film and theatre actor who performed for most of his career in Argentina. Career Del Valle was a prominent character actor who performed in more than 40 Argentine films and worked with well-known actors such as Hugo del Carril, Dora Baret, Libertad Leblanc, and Armando Bo among others.
