Complexity characterises the behaviour of a system or model whose components interaction, interact in multiple ways and follow local rules, leading to nonlinearity, randomness, collective dynamics, hierarchy, and emergence. Complex (English Band)
Complex were an England, English band formed in 1968 consisting of lead guitarist Brian Lee, lead vocalist and drummer Tony Shakespeare, bass guitarist Lance Fogg and rhythm guitarist Tony Fisher. After some initial personnel changes, in early 1970 the line-up consisted of Lee, Shakespeare and Fogg with the addition of Steve Coe on keyboards. They were based in Blackpool in North-West England. In November 1970 they cut their first album, entitled simply "Complex", which was released in May 1971. Originally devised as a demonstration record (demo) for bringing the band to the attention of major record companies for the purpose of obtaining a recording contract, it was recorded at "107 Studio" in St. Annes, engineered and mixed down by Graham Atkinson. 99 (vinyl) copies of the album were pressed by Craighall Studios in Scotland. ''Complex'' is the second studio album by Australian art pop singer-songwriter Montaigne. It was released on 30 August 2019. Prior to release, Montaigne said the tracks on the album "all came together over a couple of years and each song pertains to a different period of my life." She said "It's basically a series of portraits of all of my insecurities, or the weird relationships I've been in, or neurotic feelings I've felt while being attracted to others. Complex (band)
Complex was a Japanese rock duo composed of guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei and singer Koji Kikkawa. They released their self-titled debut in 1989, along with their first single and video, "Be My Baby". After a tour to promote the album, they released its follow-up, ''Romantic 1990'', followed by a live album, ''19901108'' a year later. The concert immortalized on the ''19901108'' CD and video turned out to be their last. They broke up sometime after the show, and in an interview Hotei said that the experience of Complex ended his friendship with Kikkawa (equating it to a divorce) and that he thought the whole thing was "a mistake". To date, neither Hotei nor Kikkawa has elaborated on the reason behind the band's breakup. Following the band's breakup, both Hotei and Kikkawa continued their solo careers.
