Complete (Lila McCann Album)
''Complete'' is the third album by the country music artist Lila McCann. Her final studio album to be released, it produced only one single on the ''Billboard'' country music charts in "Come a Little Closer". After that single failed to make Top 40 on the country charts, McCann left Warner Bros. Records' roster. The track "Mighty Mighty Love" was later recorded by Ty Herndon on his 2006 album '' Right About Now'', from which it was released as a single. "Because of You" was later recorded by Celine Dion for limited editions of her 2002 album, ''A New Day Has Come''. It is McCann's only album to not contain any writing credits from McCann herself. Lila McCann
Lila Elaine McCann (born December 4, 1981) is an American country music singer who made her debut at age 16 with the single "Down Came a Blackbird." Reaching a peak of No. 28 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, the song was the first release from her 1997 album ''Lila'', which became the highest-selling album for a debut country music act in 1997 and was certified platinum in the United States. In 1998 McCann played Kelly Wyman, an aspiring country singer in the ''Walker, Texas Ranger'' episode "Eyes of a Ranger" on CBS. Michael Rhodes (musician)
Michael Rhodes is an American bass player, known for his session work and touring in support of other artists, and his collaborations in bands and ensembles. Biography Rhodes was born in Monroe, Louisiana, and taught himself to play the guitar by age 13 and the bass soon after. In the early '70s, Rhodes moved to Austin, Texas, where he performed with local bands. Four years later, Rhodes moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he performed with Charlie Rich's son Alan. Steel Guitar
A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. Paul Franklin (musician)
Paul V. Franklin (born May 31, 1954) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known mainly for his work as a steel guitarist. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of Barbara Mandrell's road band; in addition he toured with Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed and Dire Straits. He has since become a prolific session musician in Nashville, playing on more than 500 albums. He has been named by the Academy of Country Music as Best Steel Guitarist on several occasions.
