''Companys, procés a Catalunya'' () is a 1979 Spanish Catalan drama film directed by Josep Maria Forn, based on the last months of the life of the President of Catalonia, President of Catalonia, Lluís Companys, in which he shows his detention by the Nazism, Nazis and his subsequent execution by the Francoist Spain, Spanish Francoists. It competed in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival. Josep Maria Forn
Josep Maria Forn i Costa (; April 4, 1928 – October 3, 2021) was a Spanish actor, film producer and film director. He was born in Barcelona, and began making movies in the 1950s with the short-film ''Gaudí'' (1954) and some commercial movies. His film, ''La piel quemada'' (''Burnt Skin'') (1967), dealt with the migration to Catalonia from other parts of Spain, and was very successful besides the Francisco Franco, Franco's censorship. In 1975, he became the founder and president of Institut de Cinema Català. From 1987 to 1991, he was the director of the cinematography department in the Generalitat de Catalunya, and in 1994, president of Catalan Film Directors College. He received the Creu de Sant Jordi Award by the Generalitat de Catalunya, Catalan Government in 2001. Agustín González Martínez (24 March 1930 in Linares – 16 January 2005 in Madrid) was a Spanish actor who appeared in more than 180 films, including '' El nido'' (1980), by Jaime de Armiñan; '' Volver a empezar'' (1981), by José Luis Garci; '' La colmena'' (1982), by Mario Camús; ''Dos mejor que uno'' (1984), by Ángel Llorente and '' Las bicicletas son para el verano'' (1984), by Fernando Fernán Gómez. The cinema of Catalonia encompasses film productions produced and acted preferably by people from Catalonia. It is a subset of Spanish cinema and includes movies both in Catalan and Spanish. Ovidi Montllor (; 4 February 1942 in Alcoi, Spain – 10 March 1995 in Barcelona, Spain) was a Valencian singer-songwriter and actor. Career A native of Alcoi, at the age of 24 Montllor moved to Barcelona, where he was a member of various independent theater groups, including the CICF, and later with Núria Espert and Adrià Gual.
