The communauté de communes du Carrefour des Quatre Provinces was located in the Creuse ''departments of France, département'' of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of central France. It was created in January 1999.CC du Carrefour des Quatre Provinces (N° SIREN : 242320018)

It was merged into the new Communauté de communes Creuse Confluence in January 2017. Gouzon
Gouzon (; Auvergnat dialect, Auvergnat: ''Gosom'') is a Communes of France, commune in the Creuse Departments of France, department in central France. Geography Gouzon is located about east of Guéret in the Massif Central on the river Voueize, as well as its tributary Goze. The Route nationale 145 (European route E62) passes through the commune. The train station Parsac-Gouzon on the railroad line Montluçon - Saint-Sulpice-Laurière is located in the neighboring commune Parsac-Rimondeix. Population The inhabitants are known as ''Gouzonnais''. Jarnages
Jarnages (; ) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in France. Geography A farming village situated some east of Guéret, at the junction of the D65, D13 and the D990. The N145 road forms the northern border of the commune. History The origins of Jarnages go back a long way. During the Gallo-Roman period it was known as ''Agarrusacum''. In the Middle Ages, its royal châtelain was Bertrand d'Armagnac, Count de la Marche, who had it fortified in 1434. In the 16th century, Jarnages had a certain importance as a Protestant stronghold, but the Governor of the Marane retook it in 1691. Pionnat (; ) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography A farming area comprising the village and several hamlets situated by the banks of the Creuse, some east of Guéret, at the junction of the D4, D65 and the D16. A (, "community of communes") is a federation of municipalities (communes) in France. It forms a framework within which local tasks are carried out together. It is the least-integrated form of ''intercommunalité'' (intercommunality). As of 1 January 2007, there were 2,400 ''communautés de communes'' in France (2,391 in metropolitan France and 9 in the overseas departments), with 26.48 million people living in them. Since then many ''communautés de communes'' have been merged or have joined a ''communauté d'agglomération'', a ''communauté urbaine'' or a .
