Committee On Foreign Affairs (Sweden)
(Parliamentary) Committee on Foreign Affairs ( sv, utrikesutskottet) (UU) is a parliamentary committee in the Swedish Riksdag. The committee prepares matters concerning the state's relationship to and agreements with other states and international organizations, assistance to other countries' development, representing the Swedish state abroad, as well as helping with diplomatic situations abroad. The committee also handles matters concerning foreign trade and international economic cooperation. They also handle matters that non of the other seventeen other parliamentary committees handle. Parliamentary Committees In The Riksdag
There are fifteen parliamentary committees in the Riksdag, Sweden's parliament. Each committee is made up of seventeen elected MPs, with at least one member from each political party. Additionally, the committee on EU Affairs, while not one of the standing committees, has a similar role. Current committees ;Civil Affairs () :The Committee on Civil Affairs was formed on 1 October 2006. This committee overtook issues that were previously handled by the Committee on Civil Law () and the Committee on Housing (). Margaretha Af Ugglas
Märta Margaretha af Ugglas (''née'' Stenbeck; born 5 January 1939) is a Swedish former Moderate Party politician. She was Minister for Foreign Affairs between 1991 and 1994. Career She is the daughter of Hugo Stenbeck, a lawyer and the founder of Investment AB Kinnevik, and his wife Märta (née Odelfeldt). Pierre Schori
Jean-Pierre Olov Schori (born 14 October 1938, in Norrköping) is a Swedish diplomat and politician. For many years he was international secretary in the Swedish Social Democratic Party and a close assistant to the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. He assisted Palme in the Socialist International Movement and took part in the struggle against the fascist rule in Greece, Portugal and Spain. Schori is among the editors-in-chief of '' Tiden'', a theoretical journal of the Social Democratic Party. Center Party (Sweden)
The Centre Party ( sv, Centerpartiet ; C) is a liberal political party in Sweden, founded in 1913. The party's major issues are the national economy, the environment, political decentralisation and social integration. It is represented in all of the Riksdag's parliamentary committees, currently holding 31 seats. From 2019 to 2021, it provided confidence and supply to the Löfven II Cabinet. Traditionally part of the Nordic agrarian party family, the Centre Party has increasingly shifted its focus towards economic liberalism, environmental protection, equality of the sexes and decentralisation of governmental authority. Pär Granstedt (born 1945) is a Swedish politician and former member of the Parliament of Sweden for the Centre Party from 1973 to 1994. He is a founding member of AWEPA, Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa. Hanna ''Sofia'' Margareta Arkelsten (born 6 December 1976 in Stockholm) is a Swedish politician of the Moderate Party. She served as member of the Swedish Riksdag from 2006 to 2018, representing her home constituency of Stockholm Municipality.
