Committee On Finance (Parliament Of Sweden)
The (Parliamentary) Committee on Finance ( sv, finansutskottet) (FiU) is a parliamentary committee in the Swedish Riksdag. The committee's main areas of responsibility concern economics. They are also responsible for examining how central government revenue is added up and compiling the yearly central government budget. There are fifteen parliamentary committees in the Riksdag, Sweden's parliament. Each committee is made up of seventeen elected MPs, with at least one member from each political party. Additionally, the committee on EU Affairs, while not one of the standing committees, has a similar role. Per-Ola Anders Eriksson (born October 18, 1946) is a Swedish politician. He is a member of the Centre Party. Eriksson was a member of the Parliament of Sweden from 1982 to 1998, and held the key post as chairman of the Committee on Finance from 1991 to 1994, when his party was part of the coalition forming Cabinet of Carl Bildt, which did not have a parliamentary majority on its own. Rolf Wirtén
Rolf Wirtén (born 4 May 1931) is a Swedish politician who held various ministerial posts, including the minister of economics and the budget, in the 1970s and 1980s. Biography Wirtén was born on 4 May 1931. He was a member of the Liberals. In 1978 he was named the minister for gender equality and the minister of immigration. In addition, he was the minister of labor between 1978 and 1980 in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Thorbjörn Fälldin. In 1980 Wirtén was appointed minister of budget and next year he was made the minister of economics in the second cabinet led by Thorbjörn Fälldin. Kjell-Olof Feldt
Kjell-Olof Feldt (born 18 August 1931) is a Swedish Social Democratic politician who was minister of finance between 1983 and 1990. Previously, Feldt was assistant minister of finance from 1975 to 1976 and minister of commerce and industry from 1970 to 1975. The Social Democrats lost power in the 1976 elections, but, after having won the elections of 1982, Feldt was appointed minister of finance by Prime Minister Olof Palme. He was seen as a part of Kanslihushögern during his time in office. Sven Wedén (23 July 1913 – 31 March 1976) was a Swedish politician. He was the leader of the Swedish People's Party from 1967 to 1969. Wedén survived severe tuberculosis and became a businessman in the family company, a metal manufacturing firm. Wedén had no higher education but became a self-learned intellectual, starting with extensive reading during long sejours at tuberculosis hospitals.
